ID and residence-card photos that respect each issuer’s crop
National ID and residence portals rarely want the same rectangle as a passport. Pick the card preset first so we measure head height, eye line, and background against the issuer you are filing with — not a generic square template.
- Preset-driven geometry instead of a one-size “ID filter” that ignores official percentages.
- Readable pass / warn notes for background, framing, and sharpness before you spend money.
- Accepts JPEG, PNG, or WebP from modern phones; retake wider if the readout warns your head is too large for the frame.
FAQ
- Can I use a selfie?
- Yes, if it is well lit and straight-on. Step back, disable portrait blur, and keep the full head and shoulders visible so we can crop accurately.
- Do you remove the background automatically?
- Where the preset allows digital normalization to a plain light background, we apply it. Where the rules require a natural scene, we warn instead of faking it.
- Can I reuse an old photo from my gallery?
- Yes when it is sharp and large enough. If the file is tiny or heavily filtered, retake — upscaled selfies rarely survive strict sharpness checks.
